ISR International: Bringing Our One-of-a-Kind Self Rescue Swimming Instruction to the World
Beginning in 2008, Infant Swimming Resource responded to an incredible demand from the international community to bring our one-of-a-kind self rescue swimming instruction to the world. We have begun to receive inquiries from all over the world and are selecting the best candidates from these inquires to join the ISR team and make the program available to even more children and families.
ISR has experienced incredible success with our initial expansion efforts, from the great program that has been established for several years in Australia to our newest program openings in Puerto Rico, Mexico, the Republic of Panama, Argentina, Chile, and Canada.
We look forward to reaching out to many more countries as inquiries continue to flood in.ISR International Business Model
The Business Model that we utilize for ISR is based on the foundation that each instructor is an independent contractor (not an ISR employee) with their own independent business that distributes the ISR Program under a license agreement with ISR.
ISR is a US company that only does business in the US, although it allows its independent contractor instructors to set up their own independent businesses in other countries to promote and distribute the ISR Program.
Once the candidate is certified, he/she can return to their own country and set up their own ISR Business within the community. Each ISR Instructor is assigned an online registration website that is distributed by the Instructor to parents desiring to register for lessons. Through this website, which is entirely administered in the US, parents complete the ISR International Registration Form, and submit payment of the International Registration Fee directly to ISR. ISR's Registration Evaluation Team will review each registration to ensure the safety of each student participating in lessons and will inform the parent and instructor once the student is cleared for participation. At that point, the instructor can set up their own schedule in their own pool location and charge lesson fees (determined and set by each individual instructor) to the parent.
ISR International Potential Instructor FAQs
- All ISR Instructor Training will take place in the United States with ISR Certified Master Instructors.
- ISR Instructor Training is available only in English and qualification for training requires a fluent, working knowledge of the English language.
- All ISR Instructor Trainings for International Candidates are a minimum of 7 weeks in length. *7 full weeks of training are required as trainings cannot be shortened. There are no exceptions to this rule.
- It is highly recommended that International Potential Instructor Candidates take the opportunity to travel to the States to observe ISR Lessons prior to committing to the training.
- All International Potential Instructors are required to have up to date CPR and First Aid Certifications.
- ISR International Instructors must acquire and show proof of Professional Liability Insurance Coverage (laws around the world vary in terms of legal requirements for liability, but these laws must be reviewed and appropriate steps must be taken to protect both the instructor and ISR).
- Due to the fact that each country has certain laws regarding business, trademark, etc, processing your inquiry may require a bit more time due to the need for review by our legal team. This process can require a greater time commitment during the qualification process en route to gaining legal approval for opening the program in a new country.
